The recent trend among Las Vegas hotels is that more and more Las Vegas hotels are turning into adult themed. It becomes harder and harder to find Las Vegas Attractions for Children. We have to dig deeper and go farther to find activities for our children.

We can still find some attractions for our children. It is also worth pointing out that there are several National Parks located within 5 hours driving distance from Las Vegas:

This climate controlled indoor theme park is one of the best attractions for children in the hot summer in Las Vegas.

The Adventuredome is a 5 acre elevated themepark located behind the West Tower. It is fully enclosed within the largest space-frame dome in the United States. The dome is comprised of over 350,000 sq. ft of insulated glass providing comfortable climate control year round. The current rates for an individual for an all day pass are as follows: Below 48 inches is $12.95. 48 inches and taller is $16.95. Admission to the park is free. Individual rides cost between $2-$5. Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage Hotel

This 2.5-million-gallon Dolphin Habitat is home to a family of Atlantic bottle nose dolphins. Four connected pools, an artificial coral reef system, and a sandy bottom replicate the dolphins' natural environment. Guided tours for the public are conducted throughout the day. Guests are provided the chance to see the dolphins in their natural environment exhibiting natural behaviors. Admission: $10.

Fremont Street Experience
This $70 million project is located in Downtown on Fremont Street. The whole street from Main street to Las Vegas Blvd. is covered by a light ceiling. Consisting of 2 million light bulbs, the light ceiling acts like a super stretch movie screen. Every hour on the hour from 6:00 p.m. to midnight there is a different high-tech light and sound show. A must- see attraction. Admission is free. Parking cost is $3.

Hoover Dam

Hoover Dam, one of the seven engineering wonders of the world, is only 45 minutes away from Las Vegas by car. A guided tour at the Dam leads you deep inside the 727 foot dam for a look at its inner workings. We make reservations for Hoover Dam Tours. Located one level above the Casino at the Luxor hotel, it is the World's Largest Atrium, Luxor Atrium. Looking up leaves you in awe, as its grandeur is revealed. The hotel rooms are hung from the roofs of the pyramid. The elevators go sideways. Visit this engineering excellence is free. It is good for both children and adults.

The huge atrium hosts many attractions, IMAX, arcade, gift shops and restaurants. Of course, those are not free.

The Arc de Triomphe

The Venetian Living Statues
These artistic performers entertain guests daily in St. Mark's Square and the Oculus.

The Gondolier March
Takes place daily at 9:45 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. The march begins in the Food Court and winds through the mall, ending in St. Mark's Square.
