The Best Pools in Las Vegas


Las Vegas is a paradise of pool lovers. All the major hotels on the Strip have nice pools. Many pools are heated pools and open year round. The rating here is based on comments from clients and our evaluation. Your input is welcome and will be counted in our future update. Please click here to send us your comments.

1. Pool at Mandalay Bay Hotel
Dive into Mandalay Bay's lush, 11-acre tropical sand beach. Daydream the day away as you float on a lazy river ride, or swim in one of our three pristine pools. Enjoy a remarkable recreation and relaxation experience in one of nine private bungalows, 16 cabanas, and a variety of beachside lounges, restaurants and shops. 3. Pool at Tropicana Hotel
The Tropicana Resort & Casino boasts a total of five acres of tropically landscaped grounds, pools, lagoons and waterfalls.

There are three swimming pools. The largest main pool, open April 1 to October 31, encompasses 12,000 square feet of swimming space. It measures 295' in length by 75' in width, and its perimeter measures 810'. The heated indoor pool, open all year, measures 1,500 square feet. Weather determines the months of operation. Glass doors slide shut to separate each pool and during the warmer months, it is an extension of the outdoor pool. The Lagoon Pool is located 15' from the main pool and is seasonal. The Garden Pool is located between the Acapulco and Lanai hotel Wings on the north side of the hotel is also seasonal.

The indoor pool also houses the world's first swim-up blackjack tables, open Memorial Day through Labor Day. The tables have a special waterproof layout and the drop boxes are heated to dry paper money. Towels keep players' hands and coins dry.

There are three separate outdoor spas each varying in size from 151 square feet to 250 square feet, totaling 600 square feet.

The inner Island area features five separate ponds and lagoons, featuring fresh water for live fish and aquatic life. Two hundred Koi fish inhabit the ponds.

There are more that 60 varieties of trees, ground cover, foliage and flowers including: Windmill Palms, Crepe Myrtle, Oleanders, Pampas Grass, Trailing Lantana, Weeping Willow and Star Jasmine. There are 200 palm trees, 30,000 flowers and 20,0000 square feet of sod.

Two poolside bars are open seasonally serving guests exotic tropical drinks and other splashes of refreshment. The Coconut Grove Bar is located at the heart of all the action surrounding the Main Pool during pool season. The Matzatlan Bar is located adjacent to our famous Swim-Up Blackjack offered to guests from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

A 425' long glass-enclosed walkway connects the two hotel towers and runs overhead of the five-acre park below. Throughout are comfortable seat groupings for guests to leisurely enjoy a cocktail and a lovely view of the grounds.

Outdoor Spas
There are three separate outdoor spas each varying in size from 151 square feet to 250 square feet, totaling 600 square feet.



4. Pool at Monte Carlo Hotel
Designed to refresh hotel guests, the 21,000 square-foot pool area at the Monte Carlo features 11,000 square-feet of cascading waterfalls, lush landscaping and crystal clear swimming pools. The pool area features the following amenities:
Pools are heated pools.
Lagoon Pool - A classically-designed 1,900 sq. ft. swimming pool.
Kiddie Pool - A 520 sq. ft. enclosed children's pool.
Wave Pool - The Monte Carlo was the first Strip property to recreate the ocean. This 4,800 sq. ft. amenity features waves that reach 30".
Easy River Ride - Sit back and relax as you are carried down 400 ft. of a slow-flowing river at speeds of up to 4 miles per hour.



5. Pool at Caesars Palace Hotel
Caesars Palace has the most impressive outdoor swimming pool areas. Encompassing 4.5 acres, the Garden of the Gods features three swimming pools and two outdoor whirlpool spas set among meticulously landscaped courtyards and surrounded by classically inspired statues and fountains.



6. Pool at Flamingo Hotel
Life doesn't get much sweeter than this. With cool blue lagoons, lush flowers and bubbling waterfalls, the Flamingo is a tropical paradise in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. Catch some rays, splash down a cascading water slide or relax with a cool drink.



7. Pool at Rio Hotel
A tropical paradise awaits in the Rio's beautiful Ipanema Beach. Lounge on real sand beaches at the edge of a tropical lagoon, where you are surrounded by cascading waterfalls, four swimming pools and five Jacuzzi-style spas.



8. Pool at Luxor Hotel

9. Pool at Treasure Island Hotel
The pool at Treasure Island is a tropical oasis accented by shady awnings, brightly colored flowers and dozens of varieties of leafy palms. The result is a lush paradise that invites a lazy loll by the water. Complimentary towels and lounge chairs are provided to all guests. Cabana rentals are available for full and half days and include bottled water, juices, sodas, television with cable, telephone, rafts and changing room. Sundries, including suntan lotion, dive masks and sunglasses, are available for sale.



10. Pool at Excalibur Hotel
Excalibur Hotel Las Vegas had two swimming pools. The pool area comfortably holds 800 guests and features two heated pools, a 16-seat spa, waterfalls, water slides, and a shaded dining area.

Excalibur Hotel added two new swimming pools in 2008. The two new swimming pools at Excalibur Hotel will open on May 31, 2008.

By adding two new swimming pools, Excalibur Hotel will double the size of their pool, adding cabanas, fire pits, sun decks and a secluded relaxation pool. Excalibur Hotel's new poolside restaurant, DRENCHED, is the perfect place to quench your thirst, and your appetite.
