It boasts many names: the Entertainment Capital of the World, the best value travel destination, the Wedding Capital of the World, the brightest city in the world, the buffet capital in the world, etc.
Las Vegas is in Pacific Time Zone, the same time zone as Los Angeles, three hours behind New York Time.
Las Vegas has been one of the fastest growing cities in the nation for several years. The population for the greater Las Vegas area (Clark County) is 2.2 million as of October, 2008. Ethnic Origin: European 73.5%, Hispanic 11.2%, African American 9.3%, Asians & Pacific Islanders 4%, Native American 1%, other 0.5%.
