at the Rent-A-Car Center of McCarran International Airport. Advanced reservations are highly recommended especially when there are big conventions in town or during certain holidays.
McCarran Rent-A-Car Center serves all McCarran International Airport car rental customers. Open 24 hours daily.
Dedicated McCarran Rent-A-Car Center shuttles depart approximately every five minutes to the new McCarran Rent-A-Car Center. Exit door 10 or 11. For information about the McCarran Rent-A-Car Center, call 702-261-6001.
Taxis are not expensive in Las Vegas. The fare is
$2.20 for the first mile; $1.50 for each additional mile. There are many taxis at the airport. From the hotels, you need to call the taxi companies.
Scheduled public bus service, CAT (Citizens Area
Transit), is available for most major streets in Las Vegas from 5:30 am
to 1:30 am. The Fare is $1.25 each way with free transfer tickets for different
routes. There is at least one departure each hour for most routes. Bus
route 301, 302 and 303, which operate 24 hours on Las Vegas Blvd. (From
Vacation Village hotel to downtown), have a special fare $2.00 each way.
There is a departure every 10-15 minutes for these routes. Seniors (62+)and
Youths (6-17) pay $0.60 for normal routes, and $1.00 for 301, 302 and 303;
children under 5 are free of charge. For schedule information, call (702)
